Its 1970s Era NSW, and Mr Wigg lives on the Orchard that he and his wife had lived for more than 50yrs. His wife has been gone a couple of years, and he misses her every Day, but he keeps busy with his chooks, watching the Cricket and cooking, but most of all he loves his trees in the orchard. He has names for them all, talks to them as he wanders through the orchard and oh so gently cares for each and every one. His 2 grandchildren visit often, and as they cook and preserve, he tells them a story about the Peach King & Queen.
This was such a sweet story and so easy to read with a very unexpected ending. Loved it.
